Christine D. Budrow, 61, of Jersey Shore, died May 12, 2010 at home with family.

Chriss was born and raised in Jersey Shore and was the daughter of Jack M. and Hannah C. Keefer Callahan. She was a direct descendent of Daniel Callahan who was a messenger for George Washington during the Revolutionary War.

She was the wife of Jon R. Budrow, who survives.

Chriss was a member of The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge #1057, Order of Amaranth, Tiadaghton Court #136 and the Order of Eastern Star, Ivanhoe Chapter #28.

She was also a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post #5859 and the American Legion Auxiliary Post #36, where she actively supported our veterans and current servicemen and women.

Chriss was a supporter of the United States Naval Memorial Fund and the U.S.O. Club and volunteered numerous hours of painting to the Jersey Shore Veterans Memorial Mural, something that she had great pride in doing.

She was also a lifetime member to the ASPCA and Humane Society.

Surviving besides her husband Jon, are three daughters; Shannon D. Dowling, Erin M. Roupp and Allyson J. Budrow all of Jersey Shore; four grandchildren, Kristie N. Yaw of Jersey Shore, Cody L. Hilner of Williamsport, Melinda R. Roupp of Williamsport and Brian M. Roupp of Jersey Shore; a great granddaughter Kaia E. Yaw of Jersey Shore; a sister, Virginia Engel of Lewisburg and a sister-in-law, Grace Callahan of Jersey Shore.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack M. and Hannah C. Callahan and her brother, Frederick N. Callahan.

Relatives and friends are invited to Chriss' Life Celebration services beginning with a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd. "A Life Celebration Home," 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 17, 2010 at the funeral home with Rev. Ralph Heagy officiating. Burial will be in Jersey Shore cemetery.

Family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the SPCA in her honor.
