George Charles Call was born 1 March 1902 in Rigby, Jefferson, Idaho, USA. He was 8th of the eleven children born to Omer Samuel Call (1857-1930) and Anne Mette [Madsen] Call (1867-1941). Siblings: Sarah Annie [Call] Hoggan (1886-1917), Omer Matthew Call (1888-1972), Sylvester Call (1891-1984), Irene Pearl [Call] Larsen (1893-1979), Heber Leslie Call (1895-1919), Floyd Call (1897-1970), Cyrus Bernard Call (1899-1974), Delta Rhea [Call] Cottle (1904-2001), Delbert Fremont Call (1907-1982) and Lavina [Call] Kinney (1910-1979). Juddy grew up on the family farm and he attended schools in Rigby. As he reached manhood, the United States entered into World War I. George served overseas in the military. He was stationed in the Philippine Islands and he was a Private in Battery F of the 67 Field Artillery CAC. After the War, George returned back to Rigby and established his own home and started working. He had several jobs, some of which were Chief of Police, Water master for the Canal Company and laborer for the Utah & Idaho Sugar Company. He married Ethel Thompson (1913-1998) on 3 September 1932 in Rigby, Jefferson, Idaho. George & Ethel were the parents of one child, a daughter, Glenna, born 16 July 1933. They were only able to have her in their home for a short time as she died in November of the same year. George was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed the outdoors and he and Ethel especially loved to go fishing. George developed Pancreatic Cancer which spread throughout his body and he passed away on 1 November 1970 at his home in Annis, Jefferson, Idaho. He was 68 years and 8 months of age. Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 4, 1970 in the Rigby 1st Ward Building with Bishop A. Gail Sheppard conducting. George was laid to rest later that day next to his daughter, Glenna in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery in Rigby, Idaho.
