Born as Betty Marion Ford to Oscar Lee Ford and Hilary Alvina Algor. Her mother died as a result of child birth of her younger sister, Lois, when she was 3 yrs of age. She was subsequently adopted by Carl and Lucile Benson. At the time of her adoption her name was changed to Elizabeth Benson. She married Lloyd Holsinger and after having 3 children she divorced him on grounds of infidelity on his part. She then Married Charles M Calkins, Jr. and they had two children. She has been known ad Betty, Holly, & Elizabeth.
