Deatrice Jo Caldwell Banner, daughter of the late Mrs. Barbara J. Bishop and Mr. Johnnie Caldwell, Sr., was born October 5, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan. She entered into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina.

At an early age, Deatrice joined Fellowship Baptist Church.

She attended public schools of Newberry, South Carolina and matriculated at Winthrop College where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications.

Ms. Banner was formerly employed by Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Her sister, Mrs. Debra Williams and grandmother, Mrs. Cora Lucille Lindsay, preceded her to Heaven.

Those who celebrate her life and cherish precious and loving memories include two children, one daughter, Kendra Denise Banner (Aaron) of Columbia, South Carolina, one son, Keenen Déangelo Banner of Newberry, South Carolina; devoted life partner, Mr. Randy Caldwell of Newberry, South Carolina; a granddaughter, Ashari Danai Benders; and a goddaughter, Ms. Libreshica Summers of Newberry, South Carolina; a sister, Ms. Antoinette C. Suber (Michael) of Columbia, South Carolina; two brothers, Mr. Johnnie Caldwell (Charlene) of Newberry, South Carolina and Mr. Adrian Bishop of Kannapolis, North Carolina; two stepsisters, Ms. Sheila Suber and Mrs. Brenda Hutto, both of Columbia, South Carolina; former husband, Mr. Kenneth Banner of Shelby, North Carolina; mother-in-law, Mrs. Mary Marable; father-in-law, Mr. Bobbie Marable; three sisters-in-law, all of Shelby, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends, all of whom grieve her departure but rejoice that she is now resting with the Lord.

The family will receive friends at the home (1614 Drayton Street, Newberry, SC)

Funeral services and burial will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 05, 2015 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Pomaria, SC. (Viewing one hour prior to the service).
