Esther M. Bowles, 69, Gas City, died at 11:40 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 18, 2000) at Marion General Hospital.
Mrs. Bowles had lived most of her life in the Grant County area. She was born Jan. 21, 1931, in Warsaw, Ky., a daughter of James Caldwell and Margie Pike.
Survivors include a son, John Donley, Gas City; two daughters, Mrs. David (Brenda) Pack, Louisville, Ky., and Mrs. Noel (Doris) Phillippe, Huntington; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Baxter (Anna) Potter and Bonnie Banter, both of Gas City; two stepsons, Raymond Donley Jr., Winchester, and Thomas Donley, Marion; a brother, James Caldwell, Marion; and a sister, Mary Morr, Fort Myers, Fla.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard Caldwell, Lester Caldwell, and Reno Caldwell, and a stepdaughter, Phyllis Basham.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Needham-Storey Funeral Home, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Rev. Jim Sexton will officiate.
Burial will be at Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
