Albert Edward Caines;
Company A, 7th Michigan Infantry
From Newton, Michigan, Albert enlisted on October 7, 1862 at Newton, Michigan for three years service at the age of 18. Wounded in action at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on July 3, 1863. He was promoted to Corporal om May 1, 1864 then promoted to Sergeant on May 1, 1865. He mustered out at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas on December 15, 1865.
