Maria, the fourth daughter of Benjamin and Thirsa CAIN, was born in Noble County, Ohio, December 7, 1842, and departed this life at her home in Center Township, February 11, 1911, at the age of sixty-eight years, two months and four days.
When a young lady, her parents moved to Indiana, Greene County, where she lived until death. She was married to J. R. BULLOCK, Aug. 1, 1867, who survives her.
She was a member of the Methodist church, a woman of most beautiful character, a faithful patient, and loving wife and mother. Besides the husband, she leaves three daughters, Mrs. N. HEDDEN, Mrs. Ella PRUETT and Mrs. A. J. COMBS, one brother, Will of Sandborn, Ind., and five sisters, Mrs. Miranda DAILY, Mrs. Caroline HEATON, Mrs. Thirsa COMBS, all of this county; Mrs. Cynthia CASSAD, of Stockton, Kan., Mrs. Martha BRYAN of Paragon, Ind.
She was preceded to the world beyond by one brother and one sister.
