Born on December 24, 1917 in Tippecanoe County near West Lafayette, he was the son of the late Edward R. Cain and Mary R. Miller Cain.
He married Frances N. Coffman on July 16, 1941 in Frankfort, IN and she preceded him in death after 52 years of marriage on October 5, 1993.
Marion retired in 1980 after 25 years as a machine operator from TRW-Ross Gear. He was a member of REACT. He loved photography and making model airplanes.
Surviving are his children: Jerry L. Cain of Williamsport, Jackie Neal (husb: Walter) of Lafayette, Janice Mitchell of Sedalia, IN and son-in-law Albert Gallardo of Bethalto, IL, sister-in-law Betty Jane Tyrie (husb: James) 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his children: James, Joyce, John and Judy, brothers: his twin Merrill, Herbert and Harold, and sister: Geneva Mathis.
