Aubrey Cain, 81, passed away Monday, July 30, 2012, in Fort Worth. Service: Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Rosary: 6 p.m. Thursday in Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation to follow.
Aubrey was born May 18, 1931, in Polk County. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was past District 21 commander and past commander of VFW Post 5617. He loved the Texas Rangers, Cowboys football, keno and was a staunch Democrat. Aubrey was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by siblings and granddaughter, Tammy Baker.
Survivors: Wife, Martha Cain; children, Mina Carpenter and husband, Jimmy, Laurie Baker and husband, Micheal Robinson, Karen Curry, Michael Hatfield and wife, Debbie; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
