Sandra Redditt Cain died Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at her residence. Mrs. Cain, a longtime Vicksburg resident, was a registered nurse for over 30 years. She was also an active member of Hawkins United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elbert Spencer "Sonny" Redditt; her daughter, Lori Annette Redditt; and two brothers, Michael and Robert Davidson.

She is survived by her husband, Victor Cain; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark S. and Lisa Redditt of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; a daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Russell S.McAllister III of Brandon; three grandchildren, Heather A. Redditt, Katherin E. Redditt, and Jackson S. Reddditt;and one sister, Diana Davidson of Vicksburg.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at Fisher Funeral Home. Services will be Friday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Chris Young of Hawkins United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James McDaniel of Brandon, Kelly Worthy, Greg Sparks, David Cummins, Max Polk, and Monty Redditt, all of Vicksburg.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Redditt and Phillip Jones of Vicksburg, Dr. Thomas Sligh, Dr. Eugene Ferris, Dr. Daniel Edney, Dr. V.N. Shenoy, Dr. Joe Ross, Dr. Martin Newcomb, Sharron Cummins and all of the River Region staff and the River Region Quality Department.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hawkins United Methodist Church Mexico Mission Team, 3736 Halls Ferry Road, Vicksburg, MS 39180 or to the Sandy Redditt Cain Memorial Nursing Scholarship Fund, c/o Darlene Rickles, 829 Wright Road, Vicksburg, MS 39180.
