DAVID CAHILL DIES AT 62 YEARS
Funeral services for David E. Cahill, 62, operator of the Janesville Municipal Light plant the past 18 years, were held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning, July 24 at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Father W. D. Sullivan officiating.
Following a two weeks illness, Mr. Cahill passed away at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, July 21 at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.
Rosary was said at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Arnoldt Funeral Home in Janesville. Interment was in the St. Ann's cemetery.
Pallbearers were Clarence Jewison, Wm. Sexton, Raymond Cahill, Carl Drager, George Nichlson and Keith James.
David E. Cahill, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edmond Cahill was born in Janesville on April 4, 1901. On October 9, 1928, he was united in marriage 5to Marie V. Munz in Janesville who preceded him in death. He engaged in farming several years before moving to Janesville where he operated the municipal light plant 18 years.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. William (Betty) Hibbard of Minneapolis, Mrs. Walter (Theresa Skrlin of Janesville and Mrs. Paul (Mary) Knutson of Minneapolis; three sons, Edmond of St. Paul, Robert of Janesville, and Richard of St. Paul; four brothers, Frank of Janesville, Arthur of Miles City, Mont., and William of Missoula, Mont., and Joseph of John Day, Oregon; and four sisters, Mrs. William Heath of Somner, Washington, Mrs. William Howell, Plains, Mont., Mrs. Emil Bickle of Miles City, Mont., and Mrs. Noel Simmons of Billings, Montana and 14 grandchildren.
