Funeral service will be held for Mr. Alvin James Cahee, 88 at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church, 510 Mt. Triumph St., Roanoke, LA with Pastor Berthel Lewis officiating. He will await the resurrection at Peterson Memorial Park Cemetery, Jennings, LA.
A gathering of family and friends will be at the church on Saturday, 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
A native of Uniontown, AL and resident of Roanoke, LA Mr. Cahee passed on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Golden Age of Welsh, LA. He was a member of Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in Roanoke, LA; also a veteran of the US Navy.
He now joins in glory with his parents, Charles Cahee and Adelaide Jackson Cahee; his wife, Earia Daniel Cahee; one sister, Juanita Rideaux; one brother-in-law, Peter Rideaux, one grandson, Edwin Cahee; mother and father-in-law, Richard and Susie Prince Daniel.
He leaves in God's care his children, Rev. Charlie Cahee of Corpas Cove, TX, Joe Nathan Cahee, Sr., (Tonja) of Welsh, LA, Susie Montgomery of Chicago, IL, Doris Riley (Vernon, Sr.) of New Orleans, LA and Marilyn Cahee of Roanoke, LA; one brother, Gaston Cottrell of New York, NY; four sisters, Bernice and Clarissa Griffith (Lloyd) of Buffalo, NY, Hattie Fields of Chicago, IL and Beaulah Cottrell of Roanoke, LA; twelve grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Jessie Scott of Cincinnati, OH and Richard Daniel (Lea) of Newbern, AL and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
