Billy W. Cagle, 65, passed away Nov. 1, 2011, at Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia.
He was born in Maryville, Tennessee, March 3, 1946.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He loved to work on his hot rods and also enjoyed Ham Radios, CB's and fishing. He loved to watch NHRA. He had nu-merous friends from his various hobbies.
He was preceded in death by his father, Estel Thomas Cagle; best friend and step-father, Bill Patterson and brother, Ronnie Cagle.
Survivors include his mother, Esther Long Patterson of Gastonia; sister-in-law, Mimi Cagle; loving wife of over thirty-eight and half years, Esthelene Cagle of the home; mother-in-law, Bernice Morgan; children, Amy and her husband, Mike, Julie, Willie; grandchildren, Shane, Anna, Emily, Seth, Kendall, Cristin, Keith; children in spirit, Mary, Mark, Jesse, Dee, Josh; grandchildren in spirit, Jo, Collin, Baylee and his dog, Sir Henry.
Interment will be in Armstrong Cemetery in Gastonia.
