BUSHNELL -- Creta G. Cadwalader, 89, of 8 Doctors Lane, Macomb, formerly of Bushnell, died at 7 a.m. Friday, March 6, 1998, at Heartland Health Care Center in Macomb.
Born Nov. 19, 1908, in Marietta to Walter Franklin and Mattie Belle Lafary Reneau, she married Alex Cadwalader on Nov. 1, 1924, in Lewistown. He died Feb. 9, 1964. One daughter, Betty Mullaney, two sisters and one brother also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, Eldon of Bushnell; one daughter, Shirley Garrison of Clearwater, Fla.; one sister, Freda Parks of Bushnell; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Bushnell United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and was a member of the United Methodist Women.
She was a member of Daughters of Union Veterans, Lucille Chapter 361 of the Order of Eastern Star and the New Philadelphia Ladies Aid.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home, Bushnell. The Revs. James Wheeler and Jesse Pestle will officiate. Calling hours will be after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the family present one hour before services. Burial will be in Bushnell Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to her church or the Daughters of Union Veterans.
