Obituary as follows:
Ann Caddy died Tuesday in Billings.
She was born in Butte on Oct. 14, 1928, to Isaac and Mary Ann (McMemon) Caddy. She spent her early years in the Montana State Orphans' Home in Twin Bridges, and her teenage years and young adult years at the Boulder School in Boulder. During the latter half of her life, Ann lived in Billings, where she worked in the hotel industry for more than 25 years, both at the Custer Inn and finally at the Cherry Tree Inn. She retired from hotel work in 1996, and then spent the remaining years of her life as a senior volunteer at the St. Vincent DePaul Society in Billings. Over the years she visited family and friends in Butte and enjoyed corresponding with many of her friends and family.
Ann Marie or "Annie" as her Billings friends called her, was not blessed with all the natural gifts most people have in life but was certainly blessed with the ability to use the fullest gifts she was given. Ann touched many of the people she encountered in life with her simple ways, determination and a ready smile that lit up her face and put a twinkle in her blue eyes. She was blessed with many good friends. Ann never married and had no children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters-in-law, Matthew and Katherine (Evatz) Caddy, Butte, and Jim and Mary (Kelley) Caddy, Troy, Ala.
She is survived by her very good friends from St. Vincent DePaul in Billings including Harry Merchant and Bonnie Duray; nieces, Ann (Caddy) Bone and Susan (Caddy) O'Brien, Butte; nephews, Joe Caddy of Port Orchard, Wash., Tom Caddy of Divide, Jim Caddy of Marietta, Ga., Larry Caddy of Huntsville, Ala., Steve Caddy, Pottsville, Pa.; and many great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Patrick's Church. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
