FRANCIS CABOT DEAD
Member of Old Boston Family--Had Lived in Brookline 50 Years.
Francis Cabot, a member of one of the oldest and foremost Boston families, died at his home on Heath St., Brookline, yesterday, after two weeks' illness.
He was born in Newton, June 16, 1825, and had lived in Brookline for 50 years. He was treasurer of the Cabot Mfg. Co., the Fisher Mfg. Co. and of many woolen companies throughout the New England states. He was also a director of the old Boston bank until 1897, when he became blind and retired from active business.
He is survived by five daughters and three sons. They are Mrs. Arthur Lyman of Brookline, Mrs. J. J. Putnam, Mrs. John Richardson, Mrs. Joseph Lee, Miss Amy Cabot, Francis Cabot of New York, Frederick Cabot and S. P. Cabot.
