Dr. John Thomas Cabeen was the son of Thomas L. Cabeen and Isabella Euphemia "Effey" Graham. He married Winnifred Wood Franklin on July 9, 1815 in Ouachita, Louisiana.
The couple had three children:
*Nancy E. (1822-1868)
*Edwin Franklin (1825-1848)
*Myra Elizabeth (1827-1882)

Note: as a wedding gift, Thomas Baker Franklin deeded a portion of his home plantation to his daughter Winifred and her husband, Dr. John T. Cabeen. In the deed he clearly stated that Winifred was the daughter of his first wife. Also, he mentioned that Thomas Franklin was Winifred's brother, and Elizabeth Ford was her step-mother.
