SUDDEN DEATH
Mrs. Jos. Clemens, Jr. Expires After Brief Illness
The sudden death of Mrs. Jos. Clemens, Jr., yesterday morning was a sad message to her many friends in this city, who were hardly prepared for the news, as she had been sick only about a week, with peritonitis. She was the wife of our popular dry good merchant, the senior member of the firm of Clemens & Harding, and the only daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Wm. Hausberg. Besides her husband and relatives she leaves two daughters to mourn her death.
Mrs. Clemens was a most estimable and popular woman who possessed a large circle of friends.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from her late home.
