Florence Byxbe Dies April 21

Florence Byxbe, 93, died April 21 at the Idaho County Nursing Home where she had been a patient since January.

She was born April 24, 1882, in Wichita, Kansas. She received her education in Kansas and was united in marriage to Charles Tackett. They made their home in Arkansas where they operated a farm for many years. Mr. Tackett preceded her in death.

On April 22, 1944, she was united in marriage to Irl Byxbe and they moved to the Grangeville area about ten years ago. Mr. Byxbe died in 1971 and she continued to make her home at 312 N.W. 6th in Grangeville until she entered the nursing home, due to failing health.

Mrs. Byxbe is survived by a daughter, Clover Lee Blankenship of Springdale, Arkansas.

Graveside services were held Friday, April 23, at the Prairie View Cemetery with William B. Taylor officiating, interment followed.
