On August 2, 1940, Eloise was united in marriage to Joseph Byte in Unionville, Missouri. She enjoyed being a mother and making her house a home for her family. She was baptized at a young age at the First Baptist Church in Centerville.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Joe Byte; and two brothers, Leonard and Glenn Peel.
Eloise is survived by: her son, Robert Byte and his wife, Elleen of Centerville, Iowa; daughters, Connie Cornett and her husband, Patrick of Centerville, Iowa and Debbie Kury and her husband, Tony of Centerville, Iowa; grandchildren, Missy Cornett-Gilman, Tracy Byte, Bobby Joe Byte, Jr., Haley Bishop and her husband, Tom and Megan Wulff; ten great grandchildren; brothers, Wayne and Laverne Peel of Centerville, Iowa; a sister, Bernice Peel of Centerville, Iowa; several nieces, nephews and cousins and a very special friend, Leon VanDike of Centerville, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, December 3, 2012 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow at the Dale Cemetery north of Centerville. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2012 with the family present from 4-6 pm at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to either the M&M's at First United Methodist Church or to Appanoose Community Care Service.
