Mrs. Irene Byrum Barrett, 66, Indianapolis, died Wednesday evening at the Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
A former resident of Anderson, she was a violinist and violin instructor here for many years before moving to Chicago, Ill.
She resided in Chicago for 33 years before moving to Indianapolis. She was a longtime resident of the Park Place area and formerly attended Park Place Church of God.
Surviving with the husband John, is a nephew, Clark H. Byrum of Indianapolis, and two nieces, including Mrs. Cloris Robeton of Anderson.
Her late parents, Noah & Isabel Byrum, were early church of God leaders here.
Isabelle Byrum's obituary shows Irene living in New York City in 1938.
