   Funeral services are pending at Kearns Garden chapel for Mrs. Beatrice Pearl Brooks, 49, of 236 Powers street who died at 1:20 a. m. Thursday at home of carcinoma.
   She was born May 30, 1899, in Clay City, Ill, the daughter of George and Nettie Ryan.
   She was married to Alva Brooks at Galena, Ill, Nov 10, 1920.
   She had lived in Waterloo for 30 years, coming here from Manchester, Ia.
   A member of the Christian church, she is survived by her husband, two sons, Wayne, U.S. Army, Kenneth Evansdale, Ia, two daughters, Mrs. R. L. Johnson, 1245 Sheffield, Mrs. Frank Peterson, 1320 Commercial street, two brothers, Ray Jewett, 236 Powers street, and Charles Jewett Corpus Christi Tex, two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Russell, Corpus Christi, Tex, Mrs G Floyd Bowers, Arsas, Tex., her mother, Mrs. Nettie Ryan, and five grandchildren.

   Funeral services for Mrs. Beatrice Brooks, 49, of 236 Powers street, who died Thursday, will be conducted at Kearns Garden Chapel Monday at 3 p.m. by Rev. Harley W. Farnham, pastor of Grace Methodist church.
   Mrs. Brooks was the daughter of George and Nettie Byrnes. Included among other survivors is a stepfather, Fred Jewett, Noble, Ill.
   Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
