Thomas Byrd was a Merchant in Hall County in 1860, then fought in the Civil War with the 43rd Georgia Volunteer Infantry Regiment. After the war, he farmed, then moved to Oak Street, Gainesville, Georgia about 1900. His wife Emaline died in childbirth in 1902. He was a Landlord until his death about 1915.
