Dorothy Lee Autry, 80, of Amarillo died Monday, Jan. 17, 2005.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with the Rev. Marvin James officiating. Burial will be at 5 p.m. (CST) Wednesday in South Park Cemetery in Roswell, N.M.
Mrs. Autry was born July 6, 1924, in Loving, N.M., to Daniel and Ella Bynum. She married Maurice T. Autry in Artesia, N.M., on Oct. 2, 1942. They were married for 50 years. Mrs. Autry spent her life loving her husband and raising their family. An avid reader and gardener, Mrs. Autry loved spending hours in her garden tending her roses.
She was preceded in death by her husband on June 16, 1993; her parents; and two sisters, Laura Lois Bynum and Danella Poe.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Tomlinson and Laura A. Autry, both of Amarillo; a son, Roger A. Autry and wife, Linda, of Lacey, Wash.; a sister, Mary Wyrick of Boulder, Colo.; six grandchildren, Sarah Chanthakhoune, Aaron, Josh and Sean Autry, and Bryan and Jarrod Caudle; and 10 great-grandchildren.
