Mrs. Bylsma was a graduate of Klondike High School and was employed 15 years in the catalog sales office at Sears Roebuck Co., retiring in 1985. She was a member of American Legion Post 11 Auxiliary, Sears Retirees Club, and Lafayette Senior Citizens, where she attended ceramics classes.
Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Joyce (Mrs. Floyd) Barton of Lafayette; three sons, Edward Bylsma of Carmel, Bill Bylsma of Oak Forest, IL, and Dan Bylsma of Richmond, VA; a brother, Albert Hainje of Lafayette; a sister, Margaret Fultz of West Lafayette; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
