Mrs. Anna Putman Byington, wife of Eleazar D. Byington died June 25, 1924 at her home in Wells Township. She was born May 17, 1861 in Wells township where she lived practically all of her life. She was united in marriage June 25, 1878 and to the union were born three daughters who with the husband survive. The children are Mrs. Robert Middleton of Prescott, Mrs. Fred Matthews of Watertown, Mrs. Joseph Wells of Fairgrove. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Philo Herman of Wahjamega, Mrs. E L Weiderhold of Fremont; four brothers, William H. of Detroit, R J and Lloyd of Caro, Claude of Wells; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held at Bethel Stone church in Wells, Rev D N Earl officiating with burial at East Dayton.
