Birth: Feb. 28, 1843
Death: Sep. 10, 1914

b. Bellville, Jefferson County, New York

She came with her parents to Iowa in 1856 and was a resident of Iowa most of her life.

She married James Buxton in Adams County, Iowa on October 20, 1869.

She was the mother of five children:
1. James F.
2. Charles
3. Montrose
4. Eunice
5. Mary

A young woman named Anna Buxton (1878-1910) and a child named Wayne Buxton (1897-1897) are buried in the same plot as James and Amelia. There is no mention of them being their daughter and son, but we don't know who their parents might be.
