It is with unbearable sadness and broken hearts, as the result of an accident, that we announce the passing of our cherished son, Jacob Alan Butt. Surrounded by his loving family, Jacob passed away on Friday July 20th at London Children's Hospital.
Jacob loved life. He was loving, thoughtful, kind and giving.
Jacob was a member of the Marcin YBC 5 pin league where he won many medals and the hearts of his coaches.
A student at Cathcart Boulevard School, Jacob represented the school at the city wide track meet and as a member of the two pitch team.
His teachers remember him for his ready smile, his willingness to help others and his volunteering. Jacob loved camping, swimming, bowling, video games, sunsets and night games at Cedar Bay and climbing just about anything. Most of all Jacob loved his family.
Jacob will be sorely missed by his parents Carol and Alan Butt, little brother
Jordan, Grandparents Marg and Grant Maxfield, Larry and Ruth Butt, aunts and
uncles Greg & Sandy Maxfield, Barb Maxfield, Ron & Kim Maxfield, Dave & Wanda Maxfield, Carl & Daphne Brooks, Darren Butt, Mick & Abbie Chalmers,
And cousins Garrett & Deb, Blair, Justin, Trevor, Blake, Ben, Sarah & Erich Maxfield, Emily Brooks, Gillian and Sydney Chalmers. Jacob also cherished his special aunts Cheryl Maxfield(Barry Ryan) and Karen Kennedy. Jacob loved his huge extended family and his Cedar Bay Family and many friends who will miss him dearly.
As Jacob shared during his life he will continue to share through organ donation.
Family and Friends are invited to celebrate Jacob's time with us at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Tuesday, July 24 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. A private service will take place.
