Birth: Oct. 28, 1910
Suffolk County
Massachusetts, USA
Death: Aug. 23, 2012
Florida, USA

Born October 28, 1910 in Boston, MA, Major Bundy was the daughter of Alden Howard Buttrick and Eva Darling McLatchy. Her late husband was Lloyd Bundy. Major Bundy completed a 20 year career in the Army, having served in two wars. Her assignments included tours in Occupied Japan and at the Pentagon, where she set up a program for the assignment and re-assignment of all WAC and WAF officers, a huge responsibility. She retired from the Army on January 1, 1961. Earlier, Mrs. Bundy had taught school in Waltham, MA. Years later, she lived in Lake Worth. Mrs. Bundy was preceded in death by her 102-year old cousin, Herman Lorenz Allen of Palm Beach Gardens. Mrs. Bundy's loving survivors include myself, Rosamond Jean Simon and husband, Jack Simon of Huntsville, AL; Don Wray and wife, Leah, of Gaffney, SC; niece, Rita Lane and family of Gates, NC; and Waterford dear friend, Ione Kibbe. Mrs. Bundy had a zest for life, and she is greatly missed.
