Helen Roselind (Butler) Bowser, 82, formerly of Kittanning, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, in Armstrong County Health Center. She was born Oct. 29, 1925, in Rimersburg, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Ethel (Love) Butler. She was a former employee at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital linen department and central supply department. Helen was a member of Grace Brethren Church in West Kittanning, was a charter member of East Franklin Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and former member of Rebeka Lodge in Cowansville and Worthington. She graduated from Union High School in Rimersburg in 1944. She is survived by son, Harold M. Bowser and his wife, Margaret, of Kittanning; daughter, Sally Early and her husband, Andy, of Marienville; six grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond M. Bowser, whom she married in 1944, and whom died in 1976; three brothers, Harold, Donald and Doyle Butler; and sister, Esther Johnson. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME, Kittanning, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, with her pastor, the Rev. Mark Cornwell. Interment in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
