Zelma M. Baker, 70, 426 W. Walnut St., Barnesville, died Friday at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell. She was born Feb. 10, 1915 in Somerton, a daughter of the late Henry and Angie Bunting Butler.

A Protestant, she was preceded in death by a son and a daughter.

Surviving are her husband, Dexter Baker; a son, Donald of Barnesville; seven daughters; Mrs. Ruth Scott, Bethesda, Mrs. Blanche Tipton and Mrs. Genieva [sic–Geneva] Armstrong, both of Piedmont, Mrs. Gladys Smith of Sarahsville, Mrs. Feda [sic–Freda] Gingery of Dover, Mrs. Shirley Castello, Barnesville, and Mrs. Sarah Cline of Batesville; three brothers, Hubert Butler of Portsmouth, Va., James Butler of Hendrysburg, Herman Butler of Akron; five sisters, Mrs. Belva Castello, Barnesville; Mrs. Hazel Pack of Uniontown, Mrs. Mary Bowman of Norton, Mrs. Beulah Cagey of Atwater and Mrs. Alice Hillard of Somerton; and 25 grandchildren..

Services were held Monday with Rev. Robert Merritt officiating from the Campbell-Plumly Funeral Home. Burial was made in Sewellsville Cemetery.
