Carrie graduated from Central High School and retired from South Western City Schools where she worked as a cook.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Woodrow Butler, the love of her life, who passed away in 2005;
brothers, infant Jackie Jones, James A. Jones, and Wilbert E. Jones;
nephews, Wilbert E. Jones, Jr., Richard Jones, and James Jones.
She is survived by her sister, Virginia Jones;
nieces and nephews, John (Nancy) Jones, Robert (Dina) Jones, Judith (Daniel) Collins, and Ronald Jones;
nine great nieces and nephews;
25 great-great nieces and nephews;
one great-great-great niece;
her beloved cat, Sassy.
