Aage 88 formerly of Dixon, died Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Franklin Grove Living & Rehab, Franklin Grove, IL. Sidney was born on September 19, 1926 in Fairdale, IL; the son of Sidney L. and Alice (Dark) Butler, Sr. He is a United States Army Air Corps Veteran and served our country in WWII. Sid married Ina Woodworth on March 13, 1948; she preceded him in death in 1984. He was a longtime business man in Dixon, a founding member of the Rock River Valley Boat Club, and instrumental in the founding of the Rock River Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, as well as being a committee member. Sid was an avid hunter, fisherman, trapper, adventurer and antique collector. He was a lifelong, die-hard Chicago Cubs fan. He was a dedicated wild life and land conservationist. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; one grandchild, Tasha Allen; two great grandchildren, Jesse and Jack Sagen; two brothers, Melvin and Ernest Butler and one sister, Evelyn Nesse.
