Lavada Gillis Butler EAST DUBLIN--- Lavada Gillis Butler, 65, of Cullen Street died Thursday in a Dublin hospital. Services will be held at 2pm today in Beulah Baptist Church in Wheeler County. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. James Frost will officiate. A native of Wheeler County, Mrs. Butler lived in East Dublin for the past 10 years. She was the daughter of the late C. G. Gillis and the late Leila Pearl Jones Gillis. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Kenneth Butler of East Dublin; a daughter, Rosemary Foster of East Dublin; three sisters, Otene Bellflower of East Dublin, Mary Butler of Dublin, and Pauline McNeal of Alamo; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
