ORAVILLE - Aline Butcher, 92, passed away at 7:35 a.m. Sunday, June 30, 2013, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, in Camp Creek Baptist Church in Murphysboro with the Rev. Ron Heiman officiating. Burial will be in Camp Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, Inc. or Camp Creek Baptist Church.

Aline was born Feb. 6, 1921, in Murphysboro to Earl and Julia (McRoy) Marshall.

She had worked at the former Brown Shoe Factory in Murphysboro and was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church. She liked to sew and quilt.

Aline married Luther Butcher on April 4, 1945, in Murphysboro, and he preceded her in death in 2001.

Survivors include two children, Dave Butcher and his wife, Linda, of Murphysboro and Jane Butcher of Oraville; granddaughter, Mandy Romine and her husband, Richard, of Ava; great-granddaughter, Tessa Romine of Ava; and two sisters, Margaret Ragle of Peoria and Vera Mae Ragle of Tamms.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Marshall and Earl Marshall; three sisters, Cecil Hardy, Pauline Ripley and Mary Evelyn Shelton; and her parents.
