Mabel Nettie Linendoll Allen was born on September 14, 1895, in Argyle,NY. She was the daughter of William and Jennie (Bolio) Bussing. Mrs. Allen was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church, and a member of the Salem Area Senior Citizens. She was also active in the Salem NEWCO. Mrs. Allen was a former employee of the Union Bag Company in Hudson Falls, and had worked for 14 years in the Manhattan Shirt Shop factory in Salem. Her first husband Douw Linendoll, and her second husband, Lloyd Allen, both died before her. Two sons also predeceased her: an infant son, Timothy Linendoll and Floyd D. Linendoll. Survivors include two sons, Albert Linendoll of Saratoga Springs and William Linendoll of North Granville; three daughters, Irene Gilbar of North Bennington, Vt., Mildred Stewart of Poultney, Vt, and Orpha Crosier of Greenwich; 22 grandchildren: 42 greet grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren. She was 99 years old. Burial was at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Argyle.
