Carol D. Bussell Passes Away
Carol D. Bussell passed away at his home on Monday morning, March 26, 1956. He was born May 18, 1895 to Jenny Mills Bussell and Jeff Bussell west of Pine Village. He attended school there graduating from Pine Village High chool.
His marriage to Faye Crane took place December 20, 1916. Three children were born. Ond died in infancy.
His business life since coming to Remington July 25, 1931, included thirteen and one half years with the Johnson Oil Refining company. For several years he and his wife were associated in the restaurant business, taking over the Griffith Hotel ten years ago, March 28, 1946.
Surviving besides his wife are one son, Captian Arnold J. Bussell of Wichita Falls, Texas, and one daughter, Mrs. Warren Arbuckle of Remington, also two grandsons and two granddaughters. A brother, Elmer Bussell of Otterbein died March 14.
Mr. Bussell was a member of the Christian church at Pine Village and a 27 year member of the Remington Masonic lodge.
Services were held on Wednesday, March 28, 1956 at 2:00 o'clock from the Howard Funeral Chapel with Rev. Omer Collins officating. Burial was in Remington Cemetery.
