WAYNESBORO, VA - Anthony David Buskey, 52, of 804 King Ave., passed away at 10:57am Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at Duke Medical Center in Durham, NC.

He was born April 12, 1959, in Bethlehem, PA, a son of Hercules and Mozell Backmon Buskey.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of the Sign Language Congregation of Jehovah's Witness, where he served as Elder.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Buskey; and two sisters, Diane Buskey and Dorothy Buskey.

Survivors, in addition to his mother of Orangeburg, SC; include his wife, Ellen Buskey of Waynesboro; three brothers, Robert Lee Buskey of Fayetteville, NC, Henry Buskey of Strasburg, PA, and Hercules Buskey Jr. of Elloree, SC; three sisters, Vertell Jones of Orangeburg, SC, Maurleen Foster of Columbus, OH, and Elaine Buskey of Boston, MA.

A funeral service was held at 1pm on Thursday, October 27, 2011, at the Holiday Inn, 1901 Emmett Street, Charlottesville, VA. The family received friends from 11am until time of the service. A graveside service was held at 11am Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at Lincoln Cemetery, Shreveport, LA.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Home, Waynesboro, VA.
