Charles Oliver Bushey, 86, Lincolnway west, died Sunday morning at 6:30 in the Warner hospital front a complication of diseases. He had been admitted to the hospital on Easter Sunday and after remaining two week was discharged. He was re-admitted last Thursday.
The deceased was born in Adams county, a son of the late George and Harriet (Mickley) Bushey. With the exception of four years spent in Middletown, He lived his entire life in the county. He had often spoken of the battle of Gettysburg. At the time of the battle he lived with the grandfather, Henry Mickley, opposite the site of Flohr’s church. Horses were hidden when soldiers came to search the premises.
Since the death of his wife, the former Miss Emma O Cluck, in September, 1926, the deceased had lived with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. And Mrs. L J Bucher, Lincolnway west. He was a member of the Fairfield Reformed church.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Bucher, and Mrs. Clara Sowers, Gettysburg R 2; three brothers, J G Bushey, Washington, D.C.; Luther Bushey, Railroad, York county, and A M Bushey, Denver, Colorado, and a umber of nephews and nieces.
Funeral services from the H B Bender and son funeral home Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 conducted by the Rev. Nevin R Frantz. Interment in Flohr’s cemetery.
