Born about 1849 Retired farm Labourer.
He was listed as Jamaican on his death certificate. Funeral at the African Church Cemetery.

The Funeral service for Mark Bush whose death took place at the home of his son in Toronto, Sept 25, was held in the United Church on the 19th line and was attended by a large number of friends and neighbours. The service was conducted by Rev. Mr. Jackson of Toronto after which burial took place in the African cemetery.
The pallbearers were James Lauder, Jos. Cockburn, Ann Mclean, John Brown, Robert Thompson, Vic. Slessor.
Mr Bush's parents came to Oro after the abolition of slavery and their son Mark was born here 81 years ago, and experienced all the hardships of the pioneer. Besides being a gifted singer he was of a deeply religious nature and conducted services for a number of years in the African church and was respected by all denominations.
He is survived by his wife, who is blind, two sons and three daughters.

Mark lived on concession 6, Oro. He raised pigs,was a wood cutter and he also was an church elder and lay minsiter.
