Doris J.Bush, 84, Roaring Spring, died Monday morning at UPMC Altoona, following complications of a stroke.
She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late J. Leroy and A. Pearl (Butler) Beach.
On Dec. 30,1950, she married Wilson ?Bill? Bush, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 1974.
Surviving are three children: Linda Shepherd and husband, Tim, of Estero, Fla., Elaine Stuart and husband, Steve, of Clarendon Hills, ILL., and
Wayne A. Bush and wife, Nancy, of Roaring Spring; seven grandchildren:
Jason, Jeffrey, Sara, Rachel, Corey, Michael and Reagan; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty L. Klobetanz of Hollidaysburg; and a brother, Wayne H. Beach and wife, Marilyn, of Roaring Spring.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul A. Beach.
Doris was a 1950 graduate of Morrison Cove High School, and
she retired from Nason Hospital in 1994.
She was a member of First Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring, and she enjoyed reading, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2016, at
First Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring, Pastor James Laird officiating.
Interment will be made in Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring.
Arrangements are by Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Doris's memory may be given to Roaring Spring Community Library, 320 E. Main St., Roaring Spring, PA 16673.
