He was ordained in 2000, as a minister at Fellowship Baptist Church and re-opened Salt River Primitive Baptist Church in 2007 and changed the name to Salt River Independent Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS:
His wife; his children: David Bush (Marylin), Terry Bush (Patsy), Serena Richards, Kim Moody (Ed), Mike Hinton (Prindle), Kelly Chilton (Coy) and Rusty Fryman (Natalie); twenty-three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of extended family and friends.

His parents and three siblings: Teaney Butler, Shirley West, and Dorothy Locke.
