Includes a bio (dbs notes) on Fountain J Busey pp 99-100 "Fount" Busey of Sidney Twp b Shelby Co KY 17 Feb 1817 s/o Matthew and Sallie (Fible) Busey. His father d 1864 age 85 and his mother still survives at age 95. The Busey family came to the county in fall of 1829 and settled on the tract of land now owned by Sol. Knox. Later they moved to a place since owned by Paris Shepherd in Urbana Twp. There Fountain J Busey md Miss Maria Shepherd in 1841 and they had the following ch: Matthew md Miss Jane Bowman; Jerusha w/o Lon Wilson; James H, unmarried; Ann w/o James Thompson; Simeon F md Fannie Wilson; Mary; and Luella. All of the ch are res of the county. Mr Busey was 12 when his parents came here........ Mr Busey has 560 acres all under fine cultivation, well fenced and stock and has given his ch 300 acres. He also owns a business house in Sidney.
