VISITATION: Friday, September 20, 2013 4-6pm at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel 1505 Martin Road Amarillo Texas 79107.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Saturday September 21, 2013 at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery.

Vera was born to William and Mary Busby in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 2, 1930. She married Otha Bob Bruce. Vera was a homemaker and enjoyed raising everybody's children. She loved watching old black and white movies. Vera was a member of the Cherokee nation and loved life to the fullest. She loved her pets Grizzly Bear and Esmerelda. Vera always told everyone that she loved them and the circle is complete.

She was preceded in death by her husband Otha Bob Bruce, a brother William "Jr" Busby and two sisters Rosa and Joyce Ann, two daughters Julie Lindsey and Tonya Bruce, a son Michael Paul Bruce, a granddaughter Rosa Ann Lindsey.

Survivors include her one daughter, Cindy Forbes and husband Mike of Amarillo; two sons, Tom Bruce and fiancé Pam Johnson of Amarillo and Gene Bruce and wife Kathy of Florida; one sister Betty Wright and husband Bill of Tulsa, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
