The 1920 Federal Census for Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (Oklahoma County) shows Ballard Busby, age 11, born in Oklahoma; living with his father, Woody G. Busby, a driver of a service car, age 39, born in Texas; and his mother, Anna, age 39, born in Kansas. Also living in the household was Anna's widowed mother, Susan A. Johnston, age 71, born in Kentucky.
Ballard married Beatrice Kelley, who was born January 25, 1909 in Springfield, Missouri, daughter of Thomas B. Kelley and Leatha M. Johnson. Ballard and Beatrice had one daughter, Kaye Busby.

Services for Ballard Gregg Busby, 63, of 1209 Tedford Way, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Guardian Midtown Funeral Home with entombment at Rose Hill Mausoleum.
Born at Sayre, Busby became a lifelong Oklahoma City resident. He was an independent oil well service engineer. A veteran of World War II, he retired as a
Lt Colonel from the 19th Corps Artillery Reserve Unit in Oklahoma City. Busby was a member of the Retired Officers' Association. He was a member of Olivet Baptist Church. He was graduated from University of Oklahoma in 1930.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice, and a daughter, Mrs. Kaye Lee, Alexandria, Virginia.
