Julia Busby Skinner Obituary published in the Nokomis Free Press-Gazette on Friday, August 19, 1901:
In Litchfield, August 9th, 1901, Mrs. Julia Ann Skinner, nee Busby, aged 60 years, 6 months and 16 days.
She was born in Rush County, Indiana January 23, 1841. She came to Illinois in 1852 and was married to J. N. Skinner in 1858. The funeral was preached at Center Grove Church, north of town by Rev. J. S. Tull Sunday morning.
Mrs. Skinner leaves to mourn her loss, besides her husband, four sons, two daughters, three aged brothers and ten grandchildren. Mrs. Skinner recently lived in Greenwood Township, north of town, and was a sister of J. R. Busby, of this city.

Mrs. F. M. Busby and son Elbert, of Butler, visited at the home of J. R. Busby Sunday, and also attended the funeral of Mrs. J. N. Skinner, in Greenwood Township the same day.
