Blanche Busby Auld, the last survivor of eleven children of Jean Harper and Thomas Busby, was born in Philadelphia PA on
November 26, 1868 and passed away in Kansas City MO on April 21, 1953.
The Busby family moved to a farm near Frankfort KS in 1878.
In 1888 she was married to William D. Auld. Three daughters were born to this union: Helen Eyman, Holton KS, who passed
away in 1951; Jean Devendorf, Berkeley CA; and Alice Davis, Kansas City MO.
Always of an energetic nature, she and Mr.Auld derived great pleasure in operating the Auld Book Store in Frankfort for many years.
In later years they made their home in Topeka KS and in Kansas City MO where Mr. Auld passed away in 1942. They were
life-time members of the Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are two daughters, Jean and Alice; one grandson; two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church in Frankfort on Sunday April 26,1953
Burial was in the Frankfort Cemetery, Frankfort KS
