The Fort Wayne native retired in 1975 from Fort Wayne Community Schools as elementary schoolteacher after 34 years of service and had taught at Anthony Wayne, Nebraska and Abbott elementary schools.
Surviving are brothers Hartley and Clarence Burton, both of Fort Wayne; sisters Velma Glendening of Elkhart, Treva Fradenburg of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Donna Jesse of Fort Wayne; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers Robert, Bill and Lee.
Private family services will be held. There is no calling. Burial will be at Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials are to Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice Inc.
