BILL A. BURTON, 71, of Fort Wayne died yesterday at Lutheran Hospital.
A Fort Wayne native, he retired in 1981 after 40 years as a truck driver for Kenosha Auto Transport. He was a member of Home Lodge No. 342 of the F&AM; Scottish Rite Valley; and the Mizpah Shrine.
Surviving are his sisters, Velma M. Glendening of Elkhart, C. Bonita Burton and Donna A. Jesse, both of Fort Wayne, and Treva D. Fradenburg of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; and brothers, Hartley R. and Clarence E., both of Fort Wayne, and Lee A. of Indianapolis.
Calling will be 6 to 9 p.m. today at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St., with a Home Lodge Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery.
