Lee A. Burton, 70, Indianapolis, formerly of Fort Wayne, a Realtor, investor and civic leader, died June 26. He owned Lee A. Burton & Associates, a real estate and commercial sales and management organization, for 25 years. The company developed the Georgetown Industrial Development Park and the Burton Building in Indianapolis and Riverfork Industrial Park in Huntington.

He also owned Group IV Corp. of Indiana and Railroad Development Inc. Previously, he owned Mobil Estates Management and Buyer's Service. Mr. Burton was past president of the Indiana Recreation Association, the Missouri Parks and Recreation Association, the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors Commercial Industrial Division and the Indiana Real Estate Exchange. From 1964 to 1968, he was director of parks, recreation, forestry, streets, trees and park boulevards in Indianapolis, during which time he assisted in the purchasing of land to develop Eagle Creek Park.

Previously, he served as director of parks, recreation and forestry in Ohio and Missouri. He was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, the Indianapolis Athletic Club, Highland Country Club, the Indianapolis Food and Wine Society, the Elks Lodge and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. A 1951 graduate of Indiana University, he earned a master's degree in public administration there in 1953. Mr. Burton was an Air Force veteran. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Services will be at noon June 30 in Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Fort Wayne. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. June 28 and June 29 in Flanner & Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.

Survivors: wife Ruth Alberti Burton; children Leanne Evans, Sam Burton; stepchildren Lorraine Bartenbach, Susan Pribich, Mary Anne Graves, John Alberti; brothers Hartley, Clarence Burton; sisters Bonita Burton, Donna Vesse, Velma Glendening, Treva Fradenburg; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
